DOMINO-E Kick off Workshop in Brussels

On Friday, 18.11.2022, all representatives of project partners in the Domino-E project funded by the European Commission within the framework of the HorizonEurope initiative met at the headquarters of the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) in the heart of the Brussels administrative centre for the kick-off workshop. The aim of the workshop led by Airbus Space and Defence, was to get a fresh joint overview of the project’s ambitions and challenges after months of waiting for successful evaluation. The workshop was also intended to discuss collaboration and cooperation.

The meeting was opened by the project coordinator Jean-Francois Vinuesa from Airbus Space and Defence and the responsible project officer Davide di Domizio from HaDEA. Afterwards, all partners (Airbus, Capgemini, OIKOPLUS, ONERA, Tilde, VVA) were invited to present their activities in the project as well as specific challenges. Between the presentations of the partners, there was also time for informal exchange and getting to know each other. Over the next three years, the consortium will strive to find solutions for more inclusive, cheaper, and faster access to satellite-based data for Earth observation.
